The class S State track meet was held Saturday, May 12, 2012 at Salem High School. Congratulations to Emma Banach for her 3rd place medal in the 7th grade 100 meter dash with a time of 14.06 and a 5th place medal in the 400 meter run with a season best time of 1:06.20. It was a great day for all the TSB athletes who competed. 5th grader Katie Smith ran another personal best 2:51.67 and broke her own record, in the 800 meter run. The 1600 meter relay consisting of Katie Smith, Mady Epplin, Mayci Doerflein, and Emma Banach also ran their best time of the year, 5:00.03, to set a new school record.
Very proud of how hard they worked all season long and can’t wait until next year!
We had a great time taking your orders and handing out food! I hope our earnings were high! Thanks to everyone who dined at Micky D’s tonight.

They did such a great job! Yet another entertaining play from this talented group of fourth graders and their awesome teacher, Mrs. Klingenberg.

Check out Olivia rockin’ the new spirit wear! Email me a pic of your STB student in the new spirit wear and we’ll get it online!
I just loved the colors and designs – they looked even better in person!
If you didn’t order, or love what you got and want to get some more, let me know. If there is enough interest, we could place another order.
Check out the website for WSIL TV. Reporter Matt Rudkin has a photo of some perennials, Isaac’s feet (right?) and Mrs. Williams’ kneeling leg. We’ve got press all over town! How many people caught the news cast? Thanks to Cha Hill and Mike Brand for being such gracious hosts for the day! Pictures to come soon!

I have updated the track webpage with the results from the DQ Triangular on April 10th.
Also listed is the order of events for tomorrow’s 204 Invitational. The meet begins at 9:00 with field events. Prelims for the hurdles and the 100 M dashes will begin at 9:30. Running events will begin once the field events have been completed. The athletes need to bring a lunch (with ice packs) and snacks (if they want them) as the meet will last all day. There will also be a concession stand.
Pray for good weather and an injury free day for all the athletes on Friday!

Mrs. Small’s science students in grade 6th through 8th have been selected by the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources to take part in the “Earth Day in the Parks” project. One school was chosen for each state park, and we were the winners for Pyramid State Park. On Thursday, April 25th our Falcons will be planting a butterfly garden and participating in some Earth Day learning activities. I find out more, read here or here!
