Congrats to the Indians on 2nd place in the 204 tourney! Although they lost to Sesser (a class M school) they did beat 204 50-40. Congrats Indians!
Doris Rottschalk from the food pantry wanted me to share her thanks and appreciation with the students at St. Bruno. Doris writes, “The Food Pantry was thrilled with the donation from St. Bruno’s. Please let them know how thankful we are. What a blessing for us to get it at this time of the year. With the cookie factory closing, we will surely have more people. Have a Merry Christmas!! Doris”
I am so proud, as I am sure many other parents are also, of all the good works the students and teachers have been doing this Christmas season and throughout the school year. Thank you all!
Our St. Bruno students brought the party to the winter dance that was held in our gym last Saturday. Thirty-four students from St. Bruno’s, PSR, St. Andrew’s, St. Ann’s, and St. Michael’s schools attended. The DJ kept the dance floor filled, and chocolate was flowing from the fountain. The kids and parents did a beautiful job of decorating, and we collected a nice supply of hats and gloves to donate to charity. Thanks to the 8th grade for planning an enjoyable event!
Students in grades 6,7, and 8 offered some light entertainment for the St. Bruno quilters during their luncheon today. The 6th graders recited a prayer poem titled “Not Only On Christmas”, and the 7th and 8th graders recited a poem entitled “The Greatest Gift of All”. All three groups sang “Glorify His Realm”, and “The First Nowell”. Student-crafted table decorations were scented pinecone Christmas trees on a thread spool “stump” decorated with pom-pon ornaments.
Kudos on a job well done, kids. Merry Christmas, Quilters!
