Mrs. Linda Klingenberg is in her 19th year at St. Bruno School. She has served as a part-time resource teacher for one year, followed by 18 years of teaching 4th-6th grade and departmental math for grades fourth through eighth. Eastern Illinois University is where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education. Mrs. Klingenberg has also earned her basic, advanced and renewal Catechesis Certification. Her interests include cooking, scrap booking, stenciling, and computer generated publications. Her achievements during the past years were a member of Who’s, Who Among American Teachers in 1996, Illinois Power Grant, awarded in 1996, 1997 & 2001; Ameren Power Up Grant in 2005 and Farm Bureau Scholarship for Ag in the Classroom in 2008. One of her most rewarding experiences was during the summer of 1996 when she traveled to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to work with a Habitat for Humanity project with a church group. Mrs. Klingenberg’s greatest love is her family; her husband Kevin; daughter Kelsie and son Kyler. She enjoys spending time with them outdoors and at their church family activities. Her and her family are active members of St. Paul United Church of Christ in their hometown of Nashville. Mrs. Klingenberg developed a Tech Club 5 years ago. They were responsible for the 8th grade & Kindergarten Power Point presentation at the end of the year. One of their popular events is the Egg Olympics. They also began many fund raisers, contest, and selling items for Valentine’s Day. For the past 2 years she has been a coordinator of a Challenger’s group, which does many of the same activities. One of their main goals is to form teams to compete in a Team Quest Competition. Last year teams were also created for a “Big Give” project which in turn gave over $1000 to community organizations. She has also been a coordinator for the Math-A-Thon during all 18 years. Her proudest memory was this past year when the students brought in over $5000.
